Special Diwali feast for HIV infected and affected people in Coimbatore

Sri Krishna Institutions, jointly with Coimbatore Positive People Network (CNP+) has organised a special Diwali feast for HIV infected people.

A total of 125 children and women members of CNP Plus, infected and affected by HIV virus, were given new dresses and sweets, during the occasion, which is the eighth one in as many years. A feast, arranged during the celebration had the participation of 200 people from different walks of life and organizations, who sat together with HIV infected people and had sumptuous meals on Friday last, an Institution release said today.

The celebrations were to show the people to come forward and recognize such persons as others in the society and to stop discriminations, it said. CNP+ is an organizations started in Kuniamuthur in the city by the HIV infected people for the welfare of HIV/AIDS infected people.
