Special AC trains to run to clear festive rush

5 special AC trains and two special non-AC trains will run to clear the extra rush of passengers during the upcoming festival season.

To clear the extra rush of passengers during the upcoming festival season, Northern Railway has decided to run five pairs of AC special trains for Barauni, Darbhanga, Kochuvelli, Durg and Pune.The railways will also run special two non-AC trains between Jammu and Udaipur and between Gorakhpur and Chandigarh during this time. The New Delhi-Barauni bi-weekly AC Express special will depart from New Delhi at 7.25 PM from September 30 to November 29 this year on every Tuesday and Friday to reach Barauni at 6.50 PM the next day.

In the return direction, the Barauni-New Delhi bi-weekly AC Express will depart from Barauni at 9.35 PM from October 1 to November 30, 2016 on every Wednesday and Saturday to reach New Delhi at 10.10 PM the next day.

Comprising eight AC-3 and five AC-2 coaches, the New Delhi-Barauni-New Delhi train will stop at Moradabad, Bareilly, Lucknow, Gonda, Basti, Gorakhpur, Deoria Sadar, Sewan, Chhapra, Hajipur, Muzaffarpur and Samastipur stations enroute in both the directions. The Delhi-Darbhanga Bi-Weekly AC Express Special train will depart from Old Delhi station on every Monday and Thursday from September 29 to Novemeber 28 at 11.15 AM to reach Darbhanga at 9.30 AM the next day.

In the return journey, the Darbhanga-Delhi bi-weekly will leave Darbhanga on every Tuesday and Friday from September 30 to Novemeber 29 at 12 noon to reach Old Delhi at 12.40 PM the next day.
The Delhi-Darbhanga-Delhi service will consist of five AC-2 and eight AC-3 coaches and will stop at Moradabad, Bareilly, Lucknow, Gonda, Basti, Gorakhpur, Deoria Sadar, Sewan, Chhapra, Hajipur, Muzaffarpur and Samastipur stations enroute in both the directions.

The Hazrat Nizamuddin-Kochuveli Weekly AC Superfast Express Special train will depart from Nizamuddin station on every Saturday from September 3 to November 29 at 5.55 AM to reach Kochuveli at 11 AM on the third day. In the return direction, the Kochuveli-Hazrat express will depart from Kochuveli on every Monday from September 5 to November 28 at 11 PM to reach Hazrat Nizamuddin at 3 AM on the third day.

Comprising one AC First, five AC-II and 11 AC-III coaches, the Hazrat Nizamuddin-Kochuveli-Hazrat Nizamuddin train will stop at Mathura, Agra Cantt., Gwalior, Jhansi, Bhopal, Itarsi, Nagpur, Balharshah, Ramagundam, Warangal, Khammam, Vijayawada, Chirala, Ongole, Nellore, Renigunta, Katpadi, Jolarpetta, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Podhanur, Palghat, Thrisur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Tiruvalla, Chengannur, Kayankulam and Kollam stations enroute in both the directions.

The Hazrat Nizamuddin-Durg Weekly AC Superfast will depart from Nizamuddin every Thursday from September 1 to Novemeber 24 at 3.55 PM to reach Durg at 12.50 PM the next day. In the return journey, the Durg-Hazrat Nizamuddin express will leave Durg every Sunday from September 4 to Novemeber 27 at 7.05 AM to reach Hazrat Nizamuddin at 4.30 AM the next day. It will comprise one AC First Class, four AC II and eight AC-III coaches and halt at Jhansi, Saugor, Damoh, Katni Murwara, Umaria, Shahdol, Anuppur, Pendra Road, Bilaspur, Bhatapara and Raipur stations enroute in both the directions.

The Hazrat Nizamuddin-Pune Weekly AC Superfast will depart from Nizamuddin station every Tuesday from September 6 to November 29 at 9.35 PM to reach Pune at 9.25 PM the next day. In the return direction, the train will depart from Pune every Thursday from September 8 to December 1 at 5.15 AM to reach Nizamuddin at 5.35 AM the next day.

Consisting of one AC First, five AC-II Tier and eight AC III coaches, the Hazrat Nizamuddin-Pune-Hazrat Nizamuddin train will stop at Kota, Ratlam, Baroda, Surat, Vapi, Vasai Road, Kalyan and Lonawala stations enroute in both the directions. Jammu-Udaipur-Jammu Weekly AC Express Garib Rath Special will depart from Jammu every Thursday from September 1 to November 24 at 9.30 AM to reach Udaipur at 9.20 AM the next day.

While returning, the Udaipur-Jammu train will depart from Udaipur every Friday from September 2 to Novemeber 25 at 11.15 AM to reach Jammu at 1.40 PM the next day. It will comprise 12 AC-3 coaches and the express will halt at Pathankot Cantt., Jalandhar Cantt., Ludhiana, Dhuri, Jakhal, Hisar, Bhiwani, Rewari, Khairthal, Alwar, Bandikui, Dausa, Gandhinagar Jaipur, Jaipur, Kishangarh, Ajmer, Nasirabad, Vijaynagar, Bhilwara, Chanderia, Mavli and Rana Pratap Nagar stations enroute in both the directions.

The Chandigarh-Gorakhpur Weekly Express special train will depart from Chandigarh every Thursday from September 1 to November 24 at 11.15 PM to reach Gorakhpur at 5.30 PM the next day. In the return direction, the Gorakhpur-Chandigarh service will leave Gorakhpur every Friday from September 2 to November 25 at 10.10 PM to reach Chandigarh at 2.25 PM the next day.

One First AC, one AC-2, two AC-3, 10 Sleeper Class, five General Class and two Second class-cum-luggage van coaches will be there in the Chandigarh-Gorakhpur-Chandigarh special and it will stop at Ambala Cantt., Saharanpur, Moradabad, Bareilly, Lucknow and Gonda stations enroute in both directions.
