Congress President Sonia Gandhi has hit out at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), saying that the saffron party creates differences among people and does not believe in harmony.

Addressing a rally here yesterday, Gandhi said: "They (BJP) are good at telling lies. But I feel that people are intelligent enough to differentiate between truth and lies."

"In this election, on one hand you have BJP, which does not believe in communal harmony and brotherhood. They create conditions of fights between people and society. On the other is Congress party, which has made sacrifices to ensure peace and harmony in the society," she said.

"BJP leaders give big speeches about corruption but they don't tell you what action Congress party has taken to fight corruption. We implemented the Right to Information Act, which is a big and strong weapon in your hands," said Gandhi.

Congress chief further asked people not to get carried away by false propaganda, rather take decisions with a good sense.
