Some people are trying to divide the country and our youth, who will never be misled, are giving a fitting reply to such elements, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Friday.

Addressing a gathering to mark National Youth Day at Belagavi, Karnataka, through video conferencing, the Prime Minister said that Swami Vivekananda emphasised on brotherhood. There was a lot of propaganda against India in the West that Swami Vivekananda proved false, the PM said.

He also assured the youth of the country that the government was working to ensure that start-ups are successful and young entrepreneurs can become job creators.

Addressing the students of the Gautam Buddha University in Greater Noida, Modi, via video- conferencing, said that the youth must not hesitate to innovate.

"Do not worry. Move ahead, take the first step. The government is with you," he said, referring to those youth planning to set up start-ups.
