The judicial magistrate, first class has sent arrested IPS officer Vipul Aggarwal to further police remand till May 17 in connection with the Tulsi Prajapati murder case.

CID (crime) has been granted the police remand so that they can investigate about the vehicles and weapons used in the murder. CID sleuths, during the course of investigation, had also found that absconding police inspector Ashish Pandya allegedly shot Prajapati from a distance of mere three feet so as to kill him.

CID told the court that Pandya had used a private car for the murder and hence it needed to get details about the Maruti 800 that was allegedly used to ferry Prajapati to the spot where the fake encounter took place. CID has also initiated investigation to get details about the weapon that was allegedly planted on Prajapati's body.

CID had told the court that the weapon planted on Prajapati's body was brought by absconding Pandya, who allegedly shot Prajapati with his service revolver.

CID told the court that it is yet to fill many loopholes in the case as Aggarwal is not co-operating in the investigation. CID, which had also got a detail of Aggarwal's official phone record, found that he had talked to someone in Rajasthan several times before Prajapati was killed.

However, his phone was switched off when Prajapati was killed in Ambaji.

The police are trying to get hold of the person with whom Aggarwal talked to in Rajasthan. CID also told the court that complete details of the case will only be available after absconding cop Pandya is arrested. Pandya is believed to be hiding somewhere in Mumbai.

A team of CID (crime) has already left for Mumbai to get hold of Pandya, who, some believe, has already fled to Kenya to evade arrest.
