The Supreme Court will on Monday hear a petition filed by former IAS officer, Harsh Mander, challenging an order of the Bombay High Court upholding the discharge of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah in the Sohrabuddin fake encounter case.

The petitioner has also questioned the findings of the sessions court which was endorsed by the high court exonerating him in the Tulsiram Prajapati killing case, holding that there existed 'no case' against him and that he had been implicated for 'political reasons'.

Sohrabuddin, a gangster, was killed by the Gujarat Police along with his wife Kausar Bi in 2005.

Tulsiram, an aide of the gangster and an eyewitness to the encounter, was also allegedly killed by the police in 2006.
