Six-year-old girl raped by neighbour in Uttar Pradesh, rushed to hospital

A six-year-old girl was raped by a youth after being lured at Pakdi Khas village in Khukhundu area of the district, police said on Wednesday. Police Superintendent S Chinappa said Girijesh Tewari(30), a neighbour of the victim, lured her to a secluded spot after promising her to give a chocolate on Monday and fled the scene after raping her.

The profusely bleeding girl somehow reached home and was rushed to the district hospital from where she was referred to Gorakhpur medical college hospital when her condition deteriorated, the SP said.
A case has been registered and the youth arrested, the SP added.
