Union minister for IT and Law and Justice Ravi Shankar Prasad held former finance minister Yashwant Sinha's comment on Indian economy 'a below the belt talk'. Prasad was addressing a press conference on Friday at Gujarat BJP's headquarter Shri Kamalam near Gandhinagar.
Prasad said, "With utter grief I have to say that what Sinha is saying is below the belt. I condemn his comments against economic policies of the government. Why is he doing this when the party has give him so much? Except for the designations like the president, PM and party's national president, Sinha was appointed on all important posts. His comments are unfortunate."
On the other side, he also condemned the Congress for the adverse campaign against BJP's developmental agenda. Speaking on the issue, Prasad said, "Congress has been making fun of BJP's development but I would say that they do not have any other business besides making fun of others after the people in entire nation made fun on them during polls in different regions. We also know how to respond to them in their language but we do not want to stoop to that level and we are focused on developmental issues only."
Prasad said that people in the IT sector were laid off due to some internal disturbance in the companies but there had been overall growth in the sector. He also said that the central government had been given loans under different schemes and projects to people who wished to establish their own venture and those succeeded too.
