Warning those who issued threat letter to Malayali author KP Ramanunni, BJP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy on Monday said that if they do not shut up and behave, they will face arrest.

Swamy was in Pune on Monday where he was the chief guest at the Devarshi Narad journalism award distribution ceremony. Speaking to media after the ceremony, Swamy sounded out a warning to those who have sent the letter to Ramanunni asking him to convert to Islam in six months. Ramanunni on July 21 lodged a police complaint after he received anonymous threat letter.

"I am giving them in four days to shut up and behave. If they touch him, they will have to pay for it. They have already done the similar thing to a Christian professor and if this time they do not behave, we will have them arrested under National Security Act," Swamy said.

When Swamy was asked about the incidents of mob lynching in various parts of the country, he said, "RSS workers are getting killed in Kerala and those killing them are chest thumping about it. But nobody is writing about them. As far as mob lynching is concerned, till date no BJP worker's involvement has been confirmed."

On former finance minister P Chidambaram's criticism on implementation of GST, while speaking to media in Pune on Sunday, Swamy said: "He is a liar. It was Chidambaram who introduced GST in the Parliament. If he feels that this is not GST, then why did they vote in favour of it."
