A shootout outside Central Mall on MG road in Gurgaon, left one person dead on Wednesday morning. Iamin reports say that gunmen inside a Santro were chasing a SUV, and opened fire at it, causing the SUV to ram into a few cars and topple over the median. As it toppled over, the SUV crushed an autorickshaw, killing the auto driver, Mukesh.

According to iamin, the gunmen were travelling in a Santro with yellow license plates, from UP. The gunmen chased the SUV, a Hyundai Santa Fe, at 9:10 am opening fire at it.

Gurgaon ACP said that the shots were fired at a person with a criminal background and his associate, who were in the SUV. The identity of the men in the Santro is still not known. 

iamin reports that Rajeesh Yadav, sarpanch of Hayatpur village in suburban Gurgaon, was travelling in the SUV from Sushant Lok towards MG Road. 

When the SUV rammed into other cars and toppled over, Yadav got out of the SUV and ran to hide in the Times Apartment nearby. He was later found by his associates and the police.

Yadav's driver was injured in the shootout and taken to the hospital. He is currently in a critical condition. 

The gunmen in the Santro reportedly escaped from the scene and the police are still searching for them.
