Shocking! Woman tied to tree, assaulted over property dispute in Rajasthan's Jhunjhunu

In a shocking incident, a married woman was tied to a tree and assaulted over a property dispute in Rajasthan.

The incident which took place last week in Bilwa village of Jhunjhunu district of the state was caught on camera, and the video has gone viral. The victim lives in the village along with her husband and children.

In a video, a woman and three children are seen assaulting the woman, even as crying boy pleads for her mother to be spared.

"For some time, the family had a property dispute with Maniram, the brother of the victim’s husband,” said Surendra Singh Degra, station house officer, Nawal Garh police station.

Dayaram was visiting Nawalgarh town when Maniram started driving a tractor on a disputed agricultural land, prompting Dayaram’s wife to protest. Later, Maniram, his wife and their three children allegedly assaulted Dayaram’s wife, reported Hindustan Times.

Maniram along with his wife and daughter have been arrested and further investigation is being conducted.

The victim has suffered a fracture in her ankle.
