Renowned author Shobha De and ace tennis player Sania Mirza participated in the 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' on Thursday.
"This is an important national movement and some of my further nominations are Rajdeep Sardesai, Piyush Pandey and Yash Birla," De told the media in Mumbai.

Sania Mirza, who took part in the initiative in Hyderabad, nominated Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan and director Sajid Khan among others to carry forward the movement.
"To keep this movement going, I would like to nominate Shahrukh Khan, PV Sindhu, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhinav Bindra and Sajid Khan," she said.
The 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' was launched by Prime Minster Narendra Modi on the 145th birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi.
The campaign that has been launched nationwide on October 2 focuses on sanitation, hygiene and waste management. It includes sweeping, removal of garbage, debris and unauthorized encroachments from roads, markets and residential places.
The 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' aims at making India a clean country by 2019, the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
