Samajwadi Party leader Shivpal Yadav on Friday attempted to downplay the accusations of creating a rift in the Yadav family and said that he would abide by party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav's order.

Shivpal's reaction came a day after Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav accused Shivpal of trying to create a rift between him and his father.

"I have Netaji's blessings, we are with the people and we got support from people; we will abide by whatever Netaji says. I have nothing to say on Akhilesh's comment," he said.

In a direct attack on Shivpal, Akhilesh had earlier said that he would not tolerate any conspiracy against the party and his father.

"Some people whom I trusted, tried to create differences between me and netaji (Mulayam Singh Yadav), but people of my home town (Etawah) will teach them a lesson," Akhilesh said while addressing an election rally in Etawah.

"I have also heard that some people have earned too much money, but we were not probing such cases. However, if someone submits an application, the matter will be probed thoroughly," he added.

The Chief Minister also mocked Shivpal's claims of forming a new party.

"I have heard that there is a new party being formed here, but this allegation was always leveled against me," he said.
