Shiv Sena warns BJP, says will not tolerate sons of soil deprived of rights

Udhhav Thackeray, president of Shiv Sena has targeted the Bhartiya Janata Party in a veiled attack and warned it against having its own way in approving the Development Plan 2034. Thackeray said that if the sons of the soil is deprived of their rights in the Development Plan 2034, then it will not be tolerated. "Soldiers are dying on the border. Women are getting widowed. And our Prime Minister is still talking about his 'Mann ki Baat'. It's time he talked about ' Gun ki Baat',"

"If the original inhabitants of the city will be pushed out of the city in the name of development, then Shiv Sena will never let it happen", said Udhhav while addressing a conclave of Shiv Sena corporators at Rang Sharda in Prabhadevi, on Tuesday. The training workshop was aimed at preparing the new corporators for next five years.

"We will not allow anyone to approve the Development Plan as per their convenience. Had not Shiv Sena resorted to streets during 1992 riots, city's entire plan would have been different and people should remember this", said Uddhav signalling a stern warning that if the State Government tried to clear Development Plan using the discretionary powers, Shiv Sena will never let it have their way.

The workshop for the Shiv Sena corporators was addressed by Chandrashekhar Prabhu - architect and activist, Chandrashekhar Chore - DMC (improvement) where they were given idea about how to understand and study Development Plan and how to understand budget and make budgetary provisions. Former municipal secretary Mridul Joshi gave detailed presentation about using different tools of MMC act and raise the issues on different platforms of the civic meetings.
