Sheena Bora murder case: Process underway to bring Sanjeev to Mumbai, says Rakesh Maria

According to investigating officers, the third accused (Sanjeev Khanna) will be produced in Bandra court on Thursday.

Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria on Wednesday said that all three accused in the Sheena Bora murder case are under police custody and efforts are on to bring the third accused from Kolkata to Mumbai.

"Yesterday, two accused including the woman accused was arrested in the murder case and the third accused was arrested in Kolkata today. Efforts are on to bring him back to Mumbai," Maria told the media.

The Mumbai Police Commissioner further said, "On August 2, an accused was arrested in an arms case. The accused confessed his involvement in a murder case."

"Taking the investigation further the accused took us to the place where the dead body was disposed. Further investigation revealed that the murder was committed on 24th April 2012 and the body was found by Raigad police on 23rd May 2012," he added.

According to investigating officers, the third accused (Sanjeev Khanna) will be produced in Bandra court on Thursday. The first accused Indrani Mukherjee was arrested yesterday from her Mumbai residence after her driver confessed that he had killed Sheena, her daughter in 2012 following his employer's orders. Indrani, who was charged of murdering her daughter and disposing off her body, will stay in police custody till August 31.
