To reconstruct the murder scene, Mumbai police will for the first time jointly interrogate all three accused in the Sheena Bora murder case. The accused are Sheena's mother Indrani Mukerjea, her ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna and her driver Shyamvar Rai.

The versions given by all the accused during the interrogation have emerged contradictory with each other's statements and therefore all three will be interrogated together.

Meanwhile, police have found some bones while digging at the crime scene in the forest of Raigad, Maharashtra. This could be an important lead for Mumbai police in the investigation process.

The main accused in the murder case, Indrani and Sanjeev are putting the blame of Sheena's murder on each other.

During her interrogation, Indrani told interrogators that it was Khanna who strangled Sheena. She was confronted with statements gathered from her ex-husband and her driver Shyamvar during a 10-hour interrogation by the police. Since her arrest on Tuesday, Indrani has spent two days in police custody.

However, Indrani's ex-husband gave a statement claiming that he was fast asleep in the car on the day of the incident and only woke up to see Sheena Bora dead.

Whereas, the driver has reportedly told the police that Sheena was strangled by Indrani's ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna and not Indrani.

The driver also told police that before killing Sheena, he along with Khanna, Indrani went on a recce to Raigad to identify the area where they could dispose off evidence. They also calculated time required to reach Raigad and come back to Mumbai.

According to a Mumbai Mirror report, Rai also added, "After killing Sheena, all three of them went to the spot on April 25, 2015 in Raigad and smashed the face and burnt Sheena's body. After destroying the evidence, they returned to Mumbai, and Khanna flew off to Kolkata, while Indrani returned back to business as usual."

Investigators in the sensational Sheena Bora murder case are not ruling out the "honour killing" angle after it came to light that both Peter Mukherjea and main accused Indrani allegedly disapproved of the "relationship" between his son Rahul and the victim.
