Former 'Super 30' students have accused Kumar of deceiving students.
Anand Kumar, the well-known coach of 'Super 30' and subject of Hrithik Roshan's upcoming movie is at the centre of a controversy that claims he presented false data and deceived his students.
BJP leader and actor Shatrughan Sinha, State Minister in Central government Upendra Kushwa, and Bihar assembly opposition leader Tejaswi Yadav have come forward in support of Kumar.
The allegations laid by former students against Kumar say that he fabricated the total number of students to cracked IIT-JEE 2018 under his tutelage. Reportedly only three students cleared the entrance test as oppose to twenty-six per Kumar's statements. These former students also alleged that Kumar also teaches for another institute and has asked students to join that class instead of Super 30. According to these claims. Kumar has earned close to Rs 1 crore teaching at this other class.
Taking to Twitter, Shatrughan Sinha posted a series defending Kumar. He said, "I am fond of him & proud of him like many of you. Hope, wish & pray that the society would be able to distinguish all these sponsored issues & stand by Mr Anand Kumar at this stage so that he is able to continue his mission of taking our nation to the top...Jai Bihar. Jai Hind!"
Upendra Kushwaha echoed Sinha's sentiments. In a tweet about Kumar, he said that some grops are engaginig in character assassination of the teacher. Instead they should appreciate Kumar's hard work who has made Super 30, Bihar, and India proud.
Former deputy CM of Bihar and leader of opposition in state assembly Tejaswi Yadav also defended Kumar. Urging to solidarity for Kumar, he tweeted, "Every Bihari is proud of Anand's achievements & awards. He has brought laurels for the State through his hard work & dedication. Many promising students facing abject poverty have been gifted a new life through his vision, help & timely guidance.'
In a statement given to ANI, Yadav said, "Someone from backward class who is gaining success is being sabotaged. It's being done when a Bollywood film based on him starring Hrithik Roshan is in the offing. RJD stands in solidarity with him."
Incidentally, Hrithik Roshan, who will portray Kumar on the big screen has kept mum over this matter.
Helmed by Vikas Bahl, co-produced by Reliance Entertainment and Sajid Nadiadwala's NGE Productions, Super 30 is slated to release on January 25, 2019.
