Shashi Tharoor's account hacked; wife Sunanda and Mehr Tarar have Twitter war over tweets from minister's account

Shashi Tharoor's Twitter account was hacked on Wednesday and there were a series of tweets tweeted tagging Pakistani writer Mehr Tarar.

The MP's account was then deactivated after the incident as a probe was on in the matter.

Tarar tweeted,

Okay. What's going on? Who's tweeting to me? I had an 'affair' with Shashi Tharoor and he's tweeting to me??? How does that work?

To which, Tharoor's wife replied via the social media platform tweeting,

@prasanto @MehrTarar indians who have dignity unfollow her or are there no ppl in pakistan who R desperate 4 husbands of other women SHAME

Tarar responded,

The politician's wife also tweeted,

Rumours of Sunanda and Shashi Tharoor having marriage problems have been doing the rounds for some time now and the tweets from the MPs hacked account send the rumour mills into overdrive. Sunanda tweeted putting the rumours to rest,

for her information Shashi an& I are very happy together sad for her to know i guess i get sick and go away 4 treatment &the vultures pounce

Tarar however, kept up with Mrs Tharoor as she tweeted,

I have nothing to say to a woman clearly out of her mind. To be called an ISI agent, a stalker..I have nothing to add. Just shows who she is
