Shakeel Ahmed for stringent law against gang rape

AICC leader Shakeel Ahmed today said all political parties were of the view to bring in a stringent law against rape.

"All political parties and their leaders think that there should be more stringent law, especially against gang rape, and an atmosphere is building up towards it," Ahmed told PTI.

Terming the crime against the 23-year-old girl in New Delhi was horrendous, he said, "Just listening to the plight of the victim makes a person shudder."

He demanded such punishment to the six accused that no one in future dares to commit such a crime.
