Shaina NC post the visit said that Eman was doing well and she was sure that Saifee has provided her quality care
Bharatiya Janata Party leader Shaina NC on Saturday met with Eman and her sister Shaimaa at Saifee hospital, where she questioned the latter for filming a video alleging Eman's treatment was a sham. In the video, which went viral, Shaimaa had alleged the Eman was very sick and that she hadn't lost as much weight as Dr Muffazal Lakdawala and his team of doctors had been publicly claiming.
"Saifee has spent close to Rs 3 crore on Eman and it is sad that they are behaving this way after being given all the facilities," Shaina NC said. "I have met Eman and she is well. India and Maharashtra have given her the best facilities in the name of humanity."
She added that Shaimaa didn't complain of anything when probed. "She just said that she did not want to take her back to Egypt till she is better but Eman has been provided with the best medical care," she said.
Shaina then called on Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to help resolve the issue. However, Shaimaa is free to take Eman to Abu Dhabi whenever she likes, she added.
"When she came in she had a lot of fungal infections and bed sores. There is so much improvement since then. We have continued to give her the same care despite all that has happened," said Belinda Sawant, the head of nursing staff at Saifee hospital.
The hospital staff claims that Shaimaa has been instructing Eman to not smile for the cameras. "Eman now looks to her sister for instructions before responding," said Sherly Koshi, head nurse who has been coordinating Eman's care.
"She uses certain words in Arabic to express herself," Koshy said, but pointed out that Eman has lately taken to crying whenever someone enters her room.
A team from Abu Dhabi's Burjeel Hospital visited Saifee on Saturday to check on Eman's condition and assess the arrangements that will have to be made to move her there. The hospital is considering several options including a hydraulic stretcher that will be flown in from Italy.

The hospital has ruled out the possibility of transferring Eman Ahmed on a "commercial airliner" as a "business class passenger" as the bariatric wheelchair or bed will not fit in a loading door, aisle, or the usual seating configuration
