The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on Tuesday said that the Ayodhya issue should be resolved at the earliest and that a Ram temple should be built with the involvement of all Indians.

RSS Joint General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale said that his organisation would support the decision taken by Dharam Sansad, which organised the Ram Janmabhoomi movement.

"The RSS has always said that that the issue should be settled by the two parties. RSS is not a party (in the case). It (Ram temple issue) is to be decided by the Dharam Sansad as they are the people who organised the entire Ram Janambhumi movement and the parties who went to the court. RSS will go by the Dharam Sansad's decision," he said when asked for his view on the Apex court's suggestion.

Hosabale said that if they (Dharam Sansad) agree on an out-of-the-court settlement, something which has been tried earlier also, they are most welcome to do so. He added that the RSS would also support the Dharam Sansad if it opted for the legislation route. "The issue should be settled at the earliest and a grand temple should be built through the involvement of all Indians," he said.
