Amidst reports of AJSU trying to reach out to BJP for a pre-poll tie-up, five-time party MP Ramtahal Choudhary today urged his national President Amit Shah not to cobble together such an alliance with anyone for the upcoming Assembly elections.

"The party should not ally with those who had challenged BJP in Lok Sabha elections. They have lost people's support, so they want to ally with BJP," Choudhary said reacting to media reports that AJSU was trying to tie up with the saffron party for the Assembly polls.

"I have written a letter to our party President saying BJP workers have worked very hard to put the party on a strong position in the state. We can win majority on our own and need not have any alliance with anyone," he said.

The party's national Vice President Raghuvar Das is already on record saying the party would contest all the 81 seats on its own.

AJSU had been a partner in ruling coalition headed by BJP since Jharkhand came into being on November 15, 2000.
