Security hack forces CAT 2015 results to be declared via SMS

After the blunder The CAT centre has disabled the log in page and is now sending out the results via SMS.

About 2 lakh students appeared for CAT 2015 and they are desperately awaiting their results via online portal of the exam. But after tweaking the source code on the log in page of iimcat.ac.in a few candidates managed to see their results before the official announcement.

According to a report by Catch News, hacks were developed to access the results beforehand. The website was shut down for maintenance from January 3-4. But there has been no announcement about the official date of declaration of the results.

After the blunder The CAT centre has disabled the log in page and is now sending out the results via SMS.

The exam was conducted by Indian Institute Ahmedabad (IIM-A) on November 29. The list of shortlisted candidates for next level will be made available on the individual IIM websites. These candidates will receive interview letters directly.
