Former CBI Director Anil Sinha, former Supreme Court judges Justice Aftab Alam and Justice Chandramauli Kumar and former Additional Solicitor General Siddharth Luthra will not enjoy security cover anymore. These high profile personalities are among seven people whose security has been withdrawn by the Home Ministry.
Justice SN Dhingra, a former Delhi Court judge who heads a commission appointed by the Haryana government to probe illegal land deals of Robert Vadra is among those whose security has been downgraded while former Chief Justice of J&K High Court Justice MM Kumar will not enjoy 24x7 security cover by the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF).
Security to Rama Gumit Singh Sodhi, an MLA from Punjab was also withdrawn.
Justice Dhingra along with Congress leader Manish Tewari who enjoyed 'Z' category security have had their security downgraded to 'X' category.

TYPES OF SECURITY
- Based on the level of threat perception, security categories vary from Z+, Z, Y+ Y and X.
- Those in the list whose security has been withdrawn or downgraded had a Y+ cover.
- The Central Reserve Police Force, Central Industrial Security Force and Indo Tibetan Border Police provide security and National Security Guards provide security of different levels based on threat perception.
