A 40-year-old man died of heat stroke on Friday in Secunderabad after he was forced to do sit-ups as punishment in the severe heat for accidentally bumping into someone's car, local police said.

As the body of the victim was found in his car, the police initially suspected that the driver could have died due to sun-stroke, however, further details of the incident emerged later that revealed chilling details.

After going through the CCTV footage, the police found that the man was sitting in his car despite the severe heat because he was forced to do sit-ups right before his death.

The footage also revealed that four unidentified young  men 'punished' him for scratching their car, while his car was parked alongside the road.  The men were later seen running away after snatching the victim's wallet.

The police said that three of the four accused have been taken into custody, while the fourth accused is still absconding.  According to Mumbai Mirror, the identity of the victim is yet to be ascertained.
