Controversial journalist Prashant Kanojia has recently been in limelight but for all the wrong reasons. Kanojia posted a derogatory tweet on Friday comparing Army Chief General Bipin Rawat to British Empire’s General Dyer. While the latter has been infamous for ordering the mass massacre at the Jallianwala Bagh in Amritsar, Punjab, the scribe likened the incident to that of Kashmir and General Rawat.

Kanojia later deleted the tweet. On Saturday, he issued a clarification on the deletion of the post on Twitter which read, “Yesterday I made a Tweet which has fired up controversy and has made many upset. My friend and critics have asked to delete it because it was in bad taste. I personally feel it was an extreme view. I’ve deleted it and will be careful in future before putting something harsh.”

However, the whole act did not go down well with many users. While some condemned him for posting an insulting and insensitive tweet, others branded him as an ISI-branded presstitute.

“This man is another Cheap product of Pakistan’s ISI. For few bucks, they can sell their soul, identity and nation to anyone. Shameless Presstitute!” tweeted BJP  member  Major Surendra Poonia.

Prashant Kanojia was earlier arrested by the Uttar Pradesh Police a few months back for his alleged controversial posts against Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He then got bail after the intervention of the Supreme Court of India.
