The MIDC police have met the school friends of four years old girl from Andheri based International school who was allegedly raped by the trustee and class teacher around four months back. The police have now roped in experts to help them investigate the case.

According to police, mother of four years old girl approached to file a case of sexual abuse against the trustee Pattrick Brillant and the class teacher after mother noticed unusual behaviour in her daughter. The girl later identified Brillant through the school website and approached the school authorities to confront but was sent back.

"We met school children who study in the same class and tried to speak with them frankly. They will take time to open up and speak if they have been sexually exploited. The school authorities are ready to co-operate for the investigations", said a MIDC police officer.

"Moreover, we will be also scanning the CCTV camera footage of the school to ascertain the allegations. Collecting the evidence in this case is a major task as the incident has taken place around four months back. We are awaiting the medical reports of the girl but we are not sure about its results as normally in such cases the reports have been found to be negative.", said the officer.

Shailesh Pasalwar, Senior Inspector, MIDC police station, said, "We have not made any arrests in the case so far. We are investigating further and help of experts are being taken."

Meanwhile, the parents of the school students questioned the safety measures of the school. DNA spoke to one of the parent to which she revealed, "We questioned the school authorities about the safety of our children to which now they are trying to take us into confidence. If we are approached by the police for any help during the investigations we will help them."

"Many parents showed concern after the incident came to light but they are unable to make make out if the parents or school is on the wrong foot", said the parent.

Meanwhile, the school principal said that management is cooperating with the police in the investigation. "This is the first such allegation against the school and we are a school that has high safety standards. However being sympathetic towards the parents , we are cooperating with the police in all ways. While the school cannot comment much on the issue until further investigation is on, we have spoken to all our parents and ensured them of their childrens' safety" added the principal.
