Teachers’ recruitment process at the Rajasthan University (RU) has been stopped for now after the model code of conduct got implemented on Friday. The recruitment process has been withdrawn till the Election Commission comes with new directives for the varsity.
Sources revealed the university is looking towards the Election Commission for further guidelines as the code of conduct has been enforced in the state for the Assembly polls in December.
The RU is expecting guidelines on the conduction of recruitment within 2-3 days. If the commission comes up with the guidelines in the expected time, the interviewing process would be re-begun in November.
RU vice-chancellor Dr Devswaroop has confirmed that the university has sought guidelines which are expected to be given within 3-4 days.
Meanwhile, due to the implementation of code of conduct, distribution of free CFLs would also be barred by the Jaipur Discom. The engineers from discom have stopped the process of distributing free of cost CFLs to the state dwellers under the Mukhyamanrti Bijli Bachat Yojna.
It should be known that the CFL boxes contain chief minister Ashok Gehlot and power minister Jitendra Singh’s photos.
Free CFLs were on distribution for the past two months in the state as a move to help people save electricity. The discom has only able to distribute CFLs to 70% of the population while the deadline has already ended. Around 1 lakh people are still deprived off getting the CFLs under the scheme due to discom officials’ laxity.
