Investigations have shown that Saradha group chief Sudipto Sen had produced a promotional video for Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress party just before the Bidhansabha elections in 2011. However, due to the orders of the Election Commission, the video was never shown in public.

The video was made by a channel group under the Saradha group, and the money was provided by the Sudipto Sen, reported 24 Ghanta, the Bengali news channel belonging to Zee.

The video was allegedly shot in Nalban in Kolkata in 2001. The video with running time of more than 4 minutes, cost Rs 5.5 lakh to be shot and produced.

The idea of the video was provided by an intellectual close to TMC. But since the video used religious chants, the Commission did not allow its screening.

This is not the first time that evidence that joins TMC with the Saradha scam has come into existence. Earlier this month, CBI had obtained a picture that showed Sudipto Sen handing over money to a TMC leader for paying international players including Messi who had come to Kolkata in 2011.
