Samajwadi Party is leaving no stone unturned when it comes to the 2014 general elections.

The party bought the rights of Billy Joel's 1989 hit song, We didn't Start the Fire and made it into a Hindi anthem song for promoting Mulayam Singh Yadav in the upcoming elections.

The song, Man se hai Mulayam Irade Loha hai (He is soft-hearted but iron-willed), has gone viral and has already received more than 1.5 lakh likes on Samajwadi Party's Facebook page.

The song released on November 22, which also happened to be Mulayam Singh's birthday, is written by Singh's teacher Udai Pratap Singh and sung by Bollywood playback singer Javed Ali.

It was Akhilesh Yadav who recommended to buy the rights of Billy Joel's We didn't Start the Fire and use it to promote his father, Mulayam Singh, in the upcoming 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

The main idea behind the 30 second song is to promote Singh by listing welfare schemes of Akhilesh Yadav's government. The song also features the names of prominent SP leaders.

The verse Man se hai Mulayam aur Iradey Loha hai.... has also been made the punch line for the party's poll campaign and put up on hoardings with Mulayam's picture.
