Commenting on the decision of the Election Commission's decision to lift the ban on Bharatiya Janata Party leader and Uttar Pradesh campaign in-charge Amit Shah, Minister of External Affairs Salman Khurshid on Friday said he respected EC's decision and added that if one could not agree the person could go to court.

"I will not comment on EC's decision on any point as we should always have faith in the Election Commission. . It may be possible that the views of EC and that of ours are different, but the final decision relies on the Commission. If one cannot understand the decision of EC then the person can go to court," said Khurshid.

The Election Commission has lifted its ban on Shah addressing meetings, after he accepted its censure over his recent speeches. The Commission has, however, has not lifted a similar ban on Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan.

Amit Shah had assured the commission that in future while campaigning he would be more careful about what he says whereas Azam Khan has not give any assurance to the Election Commission.
