A video recently went viral which reportedly showed Sakshi Maharaj asking a girl to taken her jeans off. A NewsX report claimed: "Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Sakshi Maharaj, popular for being always present around controversy, found himself in one yet again on Thursday when he allegedly asked a girl to undress in public. In the incident that took place in Uttar Pradesh, the notorious MP asked a girl to ‘unbutton her jeans’ on the pretext of seeing some injury marks. The video shows Sakshi Maharaj surrounded by his followers. However, NewsX is not responsible for the authenticity of the information in the video."
Twitter also went berserk as Sakshi Maharaj started trending. However, the story is actually about Sakshi Maharaj reportedly threatening to shoot the police after they entered a BJP worker's house.
According to a report in The Times of India, based on the complaint of SHO (Station House Officer) Jitendra Kumar, the police have registered an FIR against him under Section 153 (causing provocation to cause riot), 505 (1) (b) (intent to cause fear or alarm to the public) and 506 (for criminal intimidation).
The complaint was made after Sakshi's speech at BJP worker Maidan Singh's house in Fardpur village of the district on May 3, where he had reportedly said that the police would face the bullet. The police had conducted a raid on his house in connection with spurious liquor trade.
Sakshi alleged that the cops had entered Maidan Singh's house without female constables and reportedly misbehaved wish Singh's two daughters. SHO Bicchwa Jitendra Kumar told TOI: "BJP MP was booked for threatening to shoot the police. An FIR against him under 153, 505 (1) (b) and 506 of IPC has been registered. The matter is under investigation. The next step will only be taken on the order of higher authorities."
