In a fresh twist in a Pradyuman murder case, a Class XI student of the Gurgaon's Ryan International School has been arrested by police.

A class 2 student, Pradhuman Thakur, was found dead in a school toilet with his throat slit on September 8, following which the schoolbus conductor was arrested.

The student will be produced before Juvenile Justice Board in afternoon, which will take a call whether to treat him as a major or minor under amended JJ Act (2016).

“The CBI questioned him the whole day and did not let me meet him. Around 11 pm, they told me that he has murdered Pradyuman,” reported news18 quoting boy’s father.

He also said that his son has not committed the crime and he had informed gardener and teachers.

The teenager reportedly had been seen carrying a knife in school.

The post-mortem report of Pradyuman had cited "shock and hemorrhage" as the cause of death.

The CBI has taken over the probe after receiving a notification from the Centre. The case had been registered at the Bhondsi police station in Gurugram under the IPC section related to murder, and relevant sections of the Arms Act, the POCSO Act and the Juvenile Justice Act.

The Punjab and Haryana High court has granted bail to Ryan school founders in the case till December 5, with conditions.

The High Court, however, has imposed stringent conditions along with the bail.
