The Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS), the highest decision-making body of RSS, in its meeting in Nagpur said the Sangh was concerned about the disappearing local dialects of the country that are the chief vehicles for carrying forward the culture of India.

The ABPS is an annual three-day affair that takes place in Nagpur, the founding place of the RSS.

RSS' sahsarkaryavah or joint general secretary Krishna Gopal, one among three in RSS, said the RSS would be placing a resolution for revamping and reinvigoration of Indian dialects as they were the main carriers of the culture of the country through tales and folklore and which were going out of use and thus out of existence as they were not codified in a grammar and script.

Gopal said swayamsevaks across India will, in a systematic manner, make efforts for promotion of Indian dialects apart from Indian languages.

Moreover, the crucial meet is also expected to decide on whether current general secretary or sarkaryavah, Bhaiyaji Joshi, would be replaced. Joshi has donned the mantle of the deputy of the Sangh chief thrice already and, due to health issues, is expected to step down in favour of someone among three of his own deputies - Dattatreya Hosabale, Suresh Soni and Krishna Gopal.

RSS sources remained tight-lipped about the possibility, though Hosabale, who is relatively young and is from Karnataka, is said to be the frontrunner. Gopal is in-charge of BJP.
