The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is going to organise a ‘Rashtroday Samagam’ in Meerut on February 25. This will be the biggest ever gathering in the history of the sangh which will be attended by 3 lakh swayamsevaks.

In fact, the programme will create a world record.

Officially, the conclave is part of sangh’s programmes where ideological and organisational matters are discussed. However,  if sources are to be believed, the sangh is going to plan the roadmap for return of Modi government in 2019. A similar conclave was held in Mathura where senior Sangh pracharaks and BJP leaders participated while here swayamsevaks will be participating in large numbers.

RSS chief, Mohan Bhagwat would address the gathering in the afternoon, which is going to send a political message and set the tone for Lok Sabha polls.

Preparation for this conclave had begun as early as November last year. Apart from setting the direction for the polls, it would help the sangh prepare a database of swayamsevaks that would be used to help the BJP.

The aim is to connect youths and farmers though a large number of medical, legal, academic professional and traders would also participate. More than 2 lakh people from rural and around one lakh from urban areas would be attending the samagam.

In order to make contact with 3 lakh households, it has been decided that food would be arranged from these homes.

The Meerut prant has been divided into 14 districts. There are 987 mandals consisting of 10,580 villages in the 25 districts. However, from administrative point of view, 14 districts of Meerut,  Moradabad and Saharanpur come under it.

As per the information, the RSS was running campaign for quite some time to make the event a grand success. A door-to-door campaign was being run since October last year and approximately 5,700 RSS workers were going door-to-door to do the registration for the RSS event.
