BJP President Amit Shah on Tuesday said that Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) was growing not because of donations, but due to the trust of the people.

Releasing books on five former RSS Heads, Shah said that RSS is like ‘Ram Ratan Dhan Payo’ which cannot be stolen. “It is the only organization in the world which has no Constitution of its own and runs on trust and faith. It does not take any donations but carry out its philanthropic and nation-building activities through the ‘Gurudakshina’ it earns through its members,” he pointed.

RSS is one of the best examples of how an organization can promote country’s religion, culture, national heritage by inculcating the feeling of self-pride and esteem. It has been banned thrice but continued to grow leap and bound, he added.

He said RSS is a big powerhouse which has produced great leaders who have given a new direction to the country. “When people ask me what is RSS, I suggest them to attend their Shakha for a day and they will get to know about the oragnisation. Those who want to know more about RSS, should read these books”, he suggested.

Speaking on the occasion, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath claimed that ‘Vande Magtram’ got the recognition due to the RSS. “A few continue to spread canard about the great social organization but RSS never left its ideology of serving the nation and its people,” he added.
