RSS supremo Mohan Bhagwat reached Ahmedabad on Monday to attend a programme launching a website on freedom fighter Sardarsinh Rana, to be held on Tuesday. Bhagwat met leaders from various walks of life like advocates, businessmen, etc.

Sardarsinh Rana was a Right-wing freedom fighter from Bhavnagar in Gujarat. He lead an armed movement to free India from the clutches of British rule. He worked with Pandit Shyamji Krishna Verma, Madam Bhikaji Cama, Veer Savarkar, Lala Lajpat Rai, and Lala Hardayal during the freedom struggle.

The great grand son of Sardarsinh Rana and former Gujarat BJP chief and MP Rajendrasinh Rana, said, "The website, that Bhagwat will inaugurate, will consist classified documents related to the armed movement titled 'Indian Sociologist', which was written between 1905 and 1921. It is claimed that the document was written from a foreign land for the freedom of India and is not available in Indian archives."

"Sar Sangh Sanchalak Mohan Bhagwat will launch this website officially on Tuesday and many people from all walks of life, including politicians, will attend this ceremony. A speech by Bhagwat on this occasion is much awaited," Rana said.

Bhagwat stayed at RSS headquarters in Ahmedabad — Dr Hedgewar Bhavan — located in Maninagar area. Many RSS workers and leaders paid him a visit.
