RRB Group D Recruitment 2018: Admit Card now available for Oct 12 test, exam details till Oct 26 released

Railway Recruitment Board has released the exam date and venue details for those who are to take their Group D Level 1 exams. To avoid crashing of servers in an exam taken by crores of Indians, the details are being released phasewise. Currently details till October 26 are available on the respective websites. 

The next phase of dates will be out on October 18th. In that slot, the exams will be held beginning from October 29. Also the admit cards are available for days before the date of exam. So candidates who have exam on October 12 can now download their admit cards. No exams are being held between October 17-October 22 due to festival season.

The Railways Recruitment board in its notification also mentioned about the mock test. RRB mentioned that the link for mock tests will be available on September 10. Candidates can take the mock test for being better prepared for the main exam. Meanwhile, SC/ST candidates who are eligible for free train pass to travel to the exam centre can download the train travel authority from September 10th to make the travel arrangements. A notice was also released by the Railway Recruitment Control Board on the official website.

Railways is looking to fill vacancy for more han 63,000 posts and over 2 crore candidates are expected to take the test. 

Railway Recruitment Control Board:

First time in July 1942, as an experimental measure, a Service Commission with a Chairman and two members was established for recruitment of Subordinate Staff on the then North West Railway. The position was reviewed in 1945 and Services Commissions at Bombay, Calcutta, Madras and Lucknow were set up under Railway Board. These Commissions were introduced with two fold functions of recruiting class III staff and also tender advice to General Managers for dealing with appeals from subordinate staff on disciplinary matters.

RRB Grup D recruitment exam is at close quarters and it is high time that the candidates plan their last minute preparations schedule. The test will be conducted in computer-based mode (CBT). The exam will be designed to test the candidate's basic knowledge on arithmetic, reasoning and general knowledge.

- The exam details, if released, will be displayed. SC/ST candidates can also download their free train pass to reach the exam venue from the page.
