There is a royal wedding soon to take place in India and it is none other than that of Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, the adopted son of Pramoda Devi Wadiyar. He is all set to marry Trishika Kumari, who hails from the Dungarpur royal family in Rajasthan.

According to a report in The Hindu, Pramoda Devi Wadiyar will finalise the dates only in March after consulting the ‘Rajgurus’ and palace priests. The Kalyana Mantap, an octagonal hall, which saw the coronation of Yaduveer, will be where he gets married. Reports also state that Trishika attended the private Dasara celebrations that were hosted at the Mysuru Palace.

The marriage is likely to be held before Dasara this year. This will help the family restore the family traditions during the ten-day festival. The Maharani has to follow certain rituals during this period - which was not done during last year's Dasara.

Yaduveer was adopted by Pramoda Devi Wadiyar on February 23, 2015, and he was anointed as the titular held on May 28. He brought back the tradition of numerous rituals including Khas Durbar, the private sittings at the magnificent Amba Vilas in the Mysuru Palace.

Tradition was broken when Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wadiyar died on December 10, 2013. Since there was no titular head in 2014, the royal  sword was placed on the throne during the Dasara celebrations.
