Relief from killer heat wave: Thundershower in parts of Jharkhand

Thundershowers in few parts of Jharkhand on Saturday brought some relief to people reeling under heat with Ranchi recording a maximum temperature of 40.2 degree C during the day.

Latehar and Lohardagga too experienced showers in the afternoon and their maximum temperature dropped to 39 and 40 degrees C respectively.

Heat, however, continued unabated in other places.

Met office sources said Dumka in Jharkhand's Santhal Pargana recorded 44 degrees C, Garhwa 42 degrees C, Chaibasa 43.9 degrees C, Giridih 42 degrees C.
