Industrialist Ratan Tata has won the hearts of netizens after he travelled to Pune to meet an ailing former employee on Monday. Tata's compassionate gesture came to light after Yogesh Desai, CEO at Primaverse, shared the story on LinkedIn earlier this week. Desai took a picture of the 83-year-old Tata at Friends Society in Pune and it has gone viral.

Reason behind Tata's visit

Ratan Tata was informed that the employee had been keeping unwell since the past two years. Hence, he decided to travel from Mumbai to Pune to visit him at his residence.

Desai's viral post

Desai shared a picture wherein Ratan Tata was seen interacting with the employee. Desai praised the Chairman Emeritus of Tata Sons and called him a "living legend", and "the greatest businessman alive in India" for visiting his former employee all the way from Mumbai.

He also said that this gesture of Tata should come as a lesson for all entrepreneurs and businessmen that money is not everything and all that matters is being a great human being.

"Sir Ratan Tata (83) living legend, greatest businessman alive in India, visited the Friends Society in Pune to meet his ex-employee all the way from Mumbai who is ailing for last 2 years. This is how legends are made of. No media, no bouncers only commitment towards loyal employees. There is a lot to learn for all entrepreneurs and businessmen that money is not everything. All that matters is being a great human being. Hats off, Sir!! I bow my head in respect," Yogesh Desai said in his post on LinkedIn.

Netizens reactions to Desai's post

The post has garnered over 1.7 lakh reactions and 4,000 comments since it was shared two days ago. Netizens are showering their words of praise and love for the businessman on Desai's post. "He is a legend, met him several times and you will never meet a more genuine, grounded individual. Example of a truly great leader and great person," wrote one person in the comments section.
