Pledging to follow the ideals of Swami Vivekananda and serve the nation thousands of youth today brought out a rally to mark the 150th birth anniversary of the nineteenth century philosopher-saint.

Three processions with tableaux started from Hedua Park, near the ancestral house of Swami Vivekananda, Subhas Udyan, near the house of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, and Ram Lila Ground near Moulali.

All the processions converged at Shahid Minar grounds where a nine-day-long exhibition is being held on Vivekananda.

More than 15,000 people from different places of south Bengal participated in the programme organised by Swami Vivekananda Sardha Sati Samoroha, a conglomerate of organisations under the leadership of Vivekananda Kendra.
