In the recent past, a number of textbooks have determined the definition of beauty. While a CBSE textbook for Class 12 landed in trouble for claiming that the perfect woman’s body was 36-24-36, a textbook – this time from the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education – claims that a woman with ‘beautiful complexion’ and ‘good height’ have the physical attributes needed to be an entrepreneur, according to a report by The Indian Express.

Besides, uttam swasthya (perfect health) and shaleenta (calm), the textbook says that the physical traits needed to be a good entrepreneur include prabhavshali vyaktitva (impressive personality), acchhi oonchai (good height), sundar rang (beautiful complexion) and gambhirta (seriousness).

Recently, Bollywood actor Abhay Deol criticised the use of fairness products and the celebrities that endorsed them.
