Soon, the problem of late declaration of results of various technical courses of Rajasthan Technical University (RTU) will become a thing of past. The RTU has decided to implement ‘examination management system’ under which answer sheets will be digitalised. The marks awarded by examiners will also be digitalised and thus the long time consumed in preparation of results will be reduced to a large extent.
“The copies will be sent to the examiners in a digitalised form. It’s a step in right direction to streamline the examination process at RTU,” said an official of RTU who was till recently in the varsity’s examination department.
The copies won’t be sent to examiners at their homes. The varsity will be establishing a centralised checking cell in which all copies will be made available. The examiners will be coming to that centre to evaluate them.
All tasks like calculation of marks, preparation of results, submission of application forms for revaluation, inspection of answer copies by students and printing of marksheets will come under this system.
“There will be an electronic record of marks of each student for each semester, so if anybody wants to know the marks, we can tell in no time,” said an RTU official.
Notably, after regular complaints of errors in examination results, the RTU has decided to introduce this examination management system by which the answer-sheets of students will be checked online. The academic council of RTU took this decision at a meeting held recently.
