Rajasthan's Board of Secondary Education begins conducting supplementary exams for class 10 and 12 today

According to Rajasthan Patrika's report, many examinees paid a late fee of Rs.1,000 at the examination centre on Thursday to be able to appear in the examination.

Supplementary examinations for the Board exam of classes 10 and 12 are being conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan (BSER) starting Wednesday. A total of 85,573 students have appeared for the exams at 180 examination centres across Rajasthan, Rajasthan Patrika reports.

BSER secretary Meghna Chaudhary told the Rajasthan Patrika that 44,094 students registered for the class 12 supplementary exams and 41,479 students for the class 10 supplementary exams. 

Arrangements for keeping the question papers has been made at the nearest police station for respective examination centres. BSER has come up with 28 centres that transport the answer sheets to all examination centres on the day of the exams. 

According to the Patrika's report, many examinees paid a late fee of Rs.1,000 at the examination centre on Thursday to be able to appear in the examination. BSER had come up with a policy under which students, who couldn't get themselves registered in their schools for the board exams, could register by bringing a photograph and a photo identity proof, along with paying the late fee.

Founded in 1957, BSER is responsible for the promotion and development of secondary education in Rajasthan. The board also recommends syllabus, propose rules and specify courses of instruction and textbooks.
