Rajasthan polls: Parties are inundated by 'innovative' biodatas of Assembly ticket aspirants

A few biodatas accessed by DNA reveal innovative ways in which the aspirants are declaring their claim to the ticket, thus leaving leaders both surprised and impressed.

Aspirants seeking tickets to the upcoming Assembly elections are reportedly hovering near bungalows of senior Congress party leaders and submitting their biodatas to apprise them of their works and the background of the constituencies they wish to contest from. A few biodatas accessed by DNA reveal innovative ways in which the aspirants are declaring their claim to the ticket, thus leaving leaders both surprised and impressed.

'Dastkhat' is a bulky biodata submitted by Sonakshi Vashistha, Rajasthan Mahila Pradesh general secretary, who is claiming a ticket from Malviya Nagar constituency of Jaipur. She has penned a poem to impress the party president Rahul Gandhi. Reminding Rahul's dream of women representation in the legislative assembly, the young aspirant in the poem called 'Beti Ko Sadan Main Layenge' (let us ensure women representation in the House) refers to Indira Gandhi and women empowerment.

"I have penned this poem, stressing upon women representation in the legislatives. It is Rahulji's promise which I have weaved through the poem. Before finalising my biodata I got it edited so it looks impressive," said Sonakshi who has also attached a brief about the work that she has done in Malviya Nagar, to claim eligibility to get the ticket.

Another aspirant, Prabha Choudhary, former Rajasthan University president, has given details of her relatives including in-laws business and political activities in her biodata. She also mentions her father who has business of transport and petrol pump to the tune of Rs100 crore. Prabha is eyeing ticket from Baytu, which is also her in-law's home.

Wives of IAS and RAS officers are also queued up to get tickets from the Congress. Sunita Damini, who is wife of IAS Subir Kumar, Bharatpur divisional commissioner, has also submitted her biodata seeking ticket from Chaksu and Bagru constituencies which are reserved for the SC (scheduled castes) candidate.
