Two balloons with words 'Pakistan and I Love' written on them were recovered today in Rajasthan's Sriganganagar district, police said.

The villagers informed the police about the balloons, SHO Raisighnagar police station Majid Khan said. Police and CID officials are investigating the matter, he added.

Yesterday, a balloon with Pakistani flag tied with it was found in 19 BB village in the Padampur police station area of Sriganganagar district, which shares the international border with Pakistan.

The balloon had 'Azadi Mubarak' seal in Urdu and an address of Bahawalpur in Pakistan, SHO Padampur police station Rameshwar Lal said today.

He said the matter was being investigated jointly by police and intelligence officers.

The possible security scare comes ahead of the Independence Day celebrations. There are reports that terror groups across the border are planning a major attack on Indian soil.

Security forces in Delhi are on high alert after a warning by intelligence agencies of a “fidayeen attack” around Independence Day, a media report said today.

Central intelligence agencies have shared specific inputs with security forces that Mohammed Ibrahim, a former bodyguard of Jaish-e-Mohammad chief Maulana Masood Azhar’s brother Abdul Rauf Asghar, is in Delhi to organise the attack, the Times of India reported.

Besides Ibrahim alias Ismael, intel agencies also have info on other JeM cadre.

The intelligence input states that Ibrahim entered Jammu and Kashmir in the first week of May and is now in Delhi to “coordinate with JeM cadres in the area”. Another senior member of JeM, identified as Umar, has also entered J&K and is making logistical arrangements to carry out the attack in the national capital during 72nd Independence Day, the daily reported.

The entire operation is being supervised by Asghar, Masood Azhar’s deputy in JeM and operational commander for anti-India operations. They are being provided support by Pakistan’s spy agency ISI.

According to intelligence sources, Asghar successfully planned attack on Pathankot Air Force base in 2016 and the 1999 IC-814 hijacking to free Masood Azhar.
