The Rajasthan High Court directed the Enforcement Directorate to continue its probe into a land deal in Bikaner and rejected the plea of a Robert Vadra linked firm against the summons issued to them, reported TimesNow.

The High Court ordered officials of Skylight Hospital, a firm linked to Vadra, to appear for interrogation by the ED. The officials must record their statement in the presence of counsel between Janyary 4 and 6, 2017, the court said. The firm had filed a plea against summons issued by the ED to appear before it.

The notice had been sent after the ED had conducted extensive searches in this case in Bikaner district and other places and had claimed to have seized a number of documents. The probe is related to the purchase of 275 bigha land allegedly by the company in the Kolayat area of the border town of Bikaner.

The central probe agency had registered a criminal case of money laundering in this case last year on the basis of FIRs filed by the state police after the local tehsildar had made a complaint.

ED had conducted similar searches in the case in Delhi last year. Rajasthan government had in January last year cancelled the mutation (transfer of land) of 374.44 hectares of land, after the land department claimed to have found that the allotments were made in the names of "illegal private persons".

On Friday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said Rahul Gandhi did not have the "guts" to expose Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the Congress vice president feared action would be taken against his brother-in-law Robert Vadra. "Rahul does not have guts to expose anything against Modi ji. The day he does it, Modi ji will arrest Robert Vadra," he said.

The chief minister was reacting to Rahul's remarks that he wants to present detailed information about "personal corruption" by Modi in the Lok Sabha but is not being allowed to do so by the PM.
