Rajampet Lok Sabha constituency: Candidates for 2019 LS poll, past results, all updates

Rajampet Lok Sabha Constituency: Rajampet will go to polls on April 11 along with 24 other Lok Sabha constituencies in Andhra Pradesh. In the forthcoming election, the contest here is going to among BJP’s Pappireddi Maheswara Reddy, Congress’ Mohd Shahjahan Basha, YSR Congress Party's PV Midun Reddy and TDP’s DA Sathya Prabha. The counting of votes will be done on May 23. 

PV Midhun Reddy of the YSR Congress Party is the sitting MP from the region who had secured 601752 votes in 2014. He defeated D Purandeswari of the BJP, with a margin of more than 2 lakh votes. Purandeswari had secured 426990 votes.

Rajampet Lok Sabha results in 2014, 2009 and 2004

2014: PV Midhun Reddy of the YSR Congress secured 601752 votes. He thrashed D. Purandeswari of the BJP who got 426990 votes.
 
2009: Annayyagari, Shri Sai Prathap of the Congress received 423910 votes. He defeated  Ramesh Kumar Reddy Reddappagari of the TDP who only got 313533 votes. 

2004: Annayyagari Sai Prathap of the Congress secured 369797 votes. He defeated Gunipati Ramaiah of the TDP who got only 291712 votes. 

Lok Sabha elections in all the 25 constituencies in Andhra Pradesh will take place on April 11. The state will also witness simultaneous assembly election 2019. Counting of votes will be held on May 23.
