Rajasthan government employees today took out a protest rally to press for their various demands, including implementing the recommendation of the seventh pay commission from January 1, 2016.

The state government had yesterday announced that it would provide benefits under seventh pay panel recommendations to its nearly 12.5 lakh employees and pensioners with effect from January 1 this year.

A large number of state government employees gathered at Ram Niwas Garden here to take out a protest rally to Civil Lines area and decided to carry on with the protest in a phased manner.
The employees under the banner of Akhil Rajasthan Rajya Karamchari Sankyukt Sangarsh Samiti will go on mass leave on December 8, convener of the samiti, Gajendra Rathore said.

He said on December 11, 12 and 13, employees will go on fast, and observe a pen-down protest.

On December 13, state government is completing its four- year rule in the state and yesterday it had announced to give arrear of 7th pay commission from January 1, 2017, but the employees are demanding the benefits from January 1, 2016.
